Man, I need to commission some LJ icons sometime, I need some cute little mood icons or something.
I will first start by saying my trip last weekend to see Ollie and Thea was awesome even though I didn't get to see that much of Thea since she had to work. They have some cute kitties and bunnies and a cool house (I love the town they live in and really miss the mountains). On Saturday, we took a ride to Punxsatawney (did I spell it right this time?). That was fun walking around and getting to see the groundhogs and all the Phil's painted up around town. Enjoyed the weather center and I know I would love that if I was a kid, wish we would have had a fieldtrip there. Saw Gobblers Knob and all the important sites which was cool and was happy to think that I will be going there for this Groundhogs Day! I was able to find a few squirrel items that day. Sunday was a day around Cumberland just stopping in a few shops (got another squirrel puppet!) and a few flea markets which both me and Ollie enjoyed poking around. The rest of the weekend was spent looking through some auction finds Ollie had and watching pawpets which was fun cause I was bidding on a few items and got some good mentions on the show. :) Ohh, Thea also let me try on the marmot head of doom which was cool cause its the first time I wore a real fursuit head and it was pretty cool though the vision was not much so will have to get used to that.
On other notes, after today I will be off work until the 1st of December. In that time I will be spending most of the time at my folks just taking a break from things and hopefully enjoying the Holiday. may be dampered by my cousins health issues, but again, not getting into that since this journal is POSITIVE! :) My sister will also be coming down so it will be nice seeing her family as well and hopefully will just be a few days of rest and relaxation cause once I get back, it will once again be work work work. In the short term I will be going to the bowling meet Saturday with my squirrel friend Cachette which I always look forward to. From there I will be meeting Thea at Dels on Sunday/Monday I think and will take her up to CT to get her VW. Hoping that everything with that goes smoothly so she once again can have a ride (I know that has to suck not having a car)!
My suit should be getting close. I understand it is a harder one to make so have been patient. I am hoping that in the week after Thanksgiving I start hearing more about it being completed. Would love to have before Christmas! I know she and Nick do great work, I am hoping it is as every bit as great as I expect it to be. I am sure that it will be a premiere suit just for the fact that its different from most others (for species). It will look awesome, I know it! Okay. This is long enough now. Have to get back to doing some work today. XD
My suit is currently being worked on...YAY!!!!! I asked Lacy and she said they would try but were not sure if it would be done in time to make a quick run to MFF this year. I am just really happy that it is being worked on, I know this suit will be awesome beyond compare. They are expecting the tail to take a little extra time due to it being upright and they want to keep it as light as possible.
My personal life has been okay as of late. Me and my mate Cachette are doing well but haven't gotten many opportunities to see each other of late. This past weekend I did get to see him however and celebrate his birthday together which was nice. We attended the bowling meet in Delaware which was great and I surprised him with a cake which everyone seemed to enjoy. Thanks to Kittens for helping to lead singing Happy Birthday, he does a great job in organizing the events flawlessly! I decided to wear my Kigu bowling this time which was fun as it was sorta like suiting (had to sign the waiver to do it haha). Bowled only so so that evening, nothing over 200. :( On Sunday we had a nice lunch together and I decided to skip going to Frightland that night and simply left later after a good bit of snuggling that afternoon.
I am also happy to know that a recent accident that my friends Thea and Ollie had wasn't any worse than it was. The car is wrecked, but other than some bruises and such, they escaped unscathed. Depending on what they decide to do, and when, I may take a quick trip with them to pick up the replacement bug.
Other notes: Only event I have planned is AC2010. I am definitely going, staying in the main hotel, suiting my squirrely ass off, and having the time of my life. I would love to plan in advance for other cons but right now, I can't. Trigger Happy Squirrel asked me about going to FWA but at this stage, I just can't say yes for sure. I'd love to, will just have to wait and see I guess.
Thats enough for now, I guess I should get back to work. XD
Other than that life continues to have its ups and downs. The time with my mate and seeing friends maintains my sanity from the cruddy workweek. AC in the house broke down a day ago and currently should be getting fixed this morning. There is just too much to keep after at times, I really just want to move and have less to look after. Well, that's about it for now, I should get back to work. :)
Oh boy, well, its been an interesting week for me. For the past week, I been feeling okay I think, a little less depressed than I had been which is good. I have actually been forgetting to take my pills (my memory sucks sometimes) and have been off my depression meds for over a week now. Think I am gonna try to keep it up since I have actually been managing okay it seems. Been actually getting the urge to go out and do some work around the house (hoping to fix it up some in order to sell someday).
Found out today that CloudPouncer broke his arm which if you don't know is half of the Fursuits by Lacy team. This will most likely mean delay in getting my suit I would imagine. Perhaps a little less bummed than I would be cause the other day I found out my folks want to go to the Annapolis Boat show which happens to be the same weekend as Furfright. Who knows, maybe it was meant to work this way. I am sad, though I understand stuff does happen. I just really want to suit to see if I like it as much as I think I will. If it is, I do intend to possibly get another suit done of an otter character I still have to develop. I love ottahs! Just bummed out a bit about that but it is almost scary, I should be super bummed and I'm not. Perhaps I just got used to things being miserable at times that I am no longer affected. Perhaps knowing I am loved and cared for by my squirrely mate is getting me through. I just don't know.
In any case, I am looking forward to next weekend and seeing my mate and bowling and such. May try to get there earlier and hit up the picnic thing by the lake. Will have to see where abouts that is first though. That's about it, this weekend will probably be spent cleaning my truck I think. Oh joys!

This past weekend was a great one!
The weather was beautiful and it was really nice getting outside and spending time with my friends. On Saturday, Cachette was able to drive down to my house and arrived at about
On Sunday, the squirrel and I got up decently early as we were meeting Thea, Radar, and Delphanaeous in DC at 11. Stopped and gassed up the cars then caught breakfast at McDonalds since we were still a little early. We both drove separately up to the metro station since it would put Cachette closer to home when he had to leave. The Metro ride in was pretty slow as track maintenance was being done (this amounts to about 8 people on the track eating donuts, standing, or talking). Not one of the damn people was working! Grrrr. We arrived right on time and met Delphanaeous and eventually met up with Thea and Radar since we went to the wrong building. The art exhibit was good but it was pretty crowded for me. Once done, we decided it was a nice day so we all went to the zoo which was also crowded (must have been the nice weather). We had a good look around (loved watching the otters!!!!) and had lunch in an outdoor pavilion as well as hunted for plushies at a few of the stores. We then walked back to metro and parted ways on the train ride (since we had to transfer). The ride back was hell. Stupid track maintenance again basically meant it took almost an hour longer than it should have to get back. Having known they were doing that, I would have parked on the Blue line at
It was a most awesome weekend!
Adam E. Tomasik aka AdamWolf/ LupisNocturna took a shot in the neck today that turned fatal due to blood loss, while on patrol in Muntanabi, Iraq with Bravo Battery. He was an amazing musician that will not easily be forgotten and my heart goes out to his family. Don't have too much fun up there without us, mate.

Where does the nonsense stop with this crap? This sort of thing really ticks me off, this is like the cases of shooting someone coming into burgularize your house and getting sued by them. Urgh, I don't even know why I read the news anymore, its nothing but crap.
Well, after a typical commute into work (the roads were a bit icy but not bad) I get into the parking lot at work. It is one giant sheet of ice! I was sooo wanting to go to the far end of the parking lot and do doughnuts with my truck in the parking lot but I am at a semi-professional place with guards and crap so thought better of it. I just can't believe who ever takes care of the lot didn't sand/salt it. I am just hoping that someone doesn't slam into my truck! Can you say lawsuit! urgh, only makes me mad since my family does that type of business and I used to help and people were real pricks about sanding and all.
In other news not much.. My sister in New Hampshire is expecting possibly 20 inches of snow in the next day (must be nice). We got what we typically get here (crap). Thats about it. Little bummed since I see my freind Evilsquirrel commissioned a big stuffed acorn (anime style) which is pretty damn cool (saw it on the persons LJ). I had had a thought of doing something sorta similar for my suit (just a regular type of stuffed acorn) but it won't be ready for awhile still. Kinda would suck now since if I did it would sorta feel like copying now, guess I have to come up with something else. It's just hard to be orginal anymore it seems. Well, atleast I am not a wolf or fox (JOKING!). Atleast it is pretty warm in the office today.
